Haro in a Raincoat
In addition to shooting lookbooks and ecommerce shoots for brands, I often get together with a handful of other artists, and collaborate together. It can be really liberating to shoot something that starts off as an idea or concept in your mind, and then you take it to the studio and bring it to life. And sometimes what starts off as a particular idea or concept, morphs into something else once you start shooting, but those seeds of inspiration that started the idea (in my opinion) are always informing, informing, informing what’s created. So even though the final images might not be exactly what you had in mind when you were concepting the shoot, I like to think that the final shots wouldn’t have been birthed at all, had I not had the original ideas and are often, even better!!
It’s also really, really, really nourishing to co-create with a bunch of other folks who get super excited to create just like you. There is something really magical about creating in general, and that magic gets amplified when other artistic folks jump in and add their own artistry, their own ideas, and their own beautiful energy.
Anywho, here’s a bunch of shots from a day in the studio with a handful of gorgeous talented ladies who came together to co-create.
